We are proud to announce the first Alpha release of VrUnity PRO. This version will include a number of features, still a bit ruff around the edges.

VrUnity was developed for our own in—house projects, to track our own source code and images, when we were developing software for clients, we found existing systems difficult to install or overly complicated. We needed a system, which we could edit and makes changes to and needed to run on a local host.

VrUnity is written in PHP and MySQL Database to store the files and control the versions of the file. We are planning to release a new version of VrUnity within the next 4 months. The Alpha released version will have all the features which we currently use in-house, but need to be tidy up before a general public release, i.e interface will need tidying up, etc. Currently VrUnity has the following features:

What will be coming in Beta Version 4.0.0.0b3:-

We will be doing a complete redesigned of the Admin Area using Bootstrap 3, and implementing new features and future upgrades to the existing software. In beta Version 4.0.0.0b4, we are planning on implementing a database upgrade script to upgrade from VrShop PRO, VrCommence and eShop to VrShop PRO v4.

We are also changing the name from VrCommence to VrShop.

We are planning to have the final release by the end of May of 2015 or sooner.

In December 2012, PHP 5.3 entered its end of life and PHP advised all users to upgrade to PHP 5.4. In March 2013, PHP 5.3 stopped receiving critical fixes.

PHP 5.3 will no longer be supported in Virtual Web Designs updates. All Virtual Web Designs Download customers will need to update their server environments to PHP 5.4. If you are using our servers, this will be upgraded to the latest PHP 5.4.X at the end of June 2014.

We advise all customers who have PHP 5.3 scripts on our servers to check with their software vendors, to make sure there scripts will run ok under PHP 5.4.x

We have identified some issues with the old versions of eShop and we have applied patches were we can. However, you may still face issues using the new PHP 5.4.x

We will no longer support eShop, as this is out dated software. We would advised any customer using eShop to update to our latest software VrCommence PRO.

From the 1st December 2013, VeriSign has announced that they will be raising prices of top level domain namesi.e .COM, .NET, etc. as part of an annual price increase. This price rise will will effect all domain registrars, resellers, and sellers% out there as prices of domain names are assigned by VeriSign and ICANN. Webnetics prices still remain competitive and reasonable despite the pricing increased imposed by VeriSign.

The .COM domain will increase by £1 GBP. This new pricing format will have effect on all domain registrations, renewals, and transfer-ins.

We advise all our customers to take full advantage of the current pricing system before the new pricing system takes place. We also look forward to working with with you throughout 2012.

The price for the registration of .uk domain names has been increased by the supplier Nominet. You can now register a .UK domain name from 1 to 10 years. With this in mind, Webnetics .uk domain prices have also increased to match this increase in the supply price.

Date: 11/10/2013

An automatic software update to our firewall, failed to install correctly this morning. This in turn corrupted some system files. This then stopped a number of websites working correctly with php related software. We had tried to do a partial system re-install, which did not solve the problem. We were then forced to re-install the operating system and re-install the last system backups from today. Then at 14:16 the hard disk / controller failed, so we had to replace these and re-install the hardware.

The server is now working correctly. We would like to apologies for any Inconvenience caused and Thank you your patience.
